It was a great place. Location perfect! Mountain feel but not far from Pigeon Forge for shopping and fun! Tiny houses made you feel right at home. Only thing I would recommend is having more kitchen items like bowls, pots, etc. other than that you had what you needed.

My family loves the tiny house experience. They are conveniently located to pigeon forge and Townsend. Tiny houses are so much better than hotels. Loved our stay!

This is the third time our family has called "Southern Comfort" our home away from home. We have enjoyed it every time. While it appears other guests have been a bit rough on the property (damage to step trims), everything else was wonderful, as always. We look forward to staying there again soon!

This place was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed being out of the main drag, but still only about 20 minutes away. The beds were VERY comfortable and communication/check-in was a breeze. We will definitely stay here again.

The tiny house was very nice. I would have given it a 5 for the questions below but for the reasons listed here - no wifi, ceiling fans were very dusty and no place to hang a hand towel in the bathroom. Other than these things, it was a great stay.

Southern comfort was definitely a very cute rental. Bigger than what my family expected since it is considered a tiny home. Close enough to pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Had some amazing Mountain View’s

We had a great time staying in Southern Comfort tiny home. It had plenty of space, was clean and everything we needed. The location was great. Very quiet area. The heaters worked very well as it was cold while visiting. We will be back.

I have been going gatlinburg for the past 10 years and have always stayed in wears valley with Cove Mountain. I have always had the best experiences with them, now with the addition of the tiny houses it's perfect for me.

This rental was absolutely wonderful. We traveled with our daughter and 2 granddaughters, we had plenty of space, hot water for everyone to shower and being able to do our laundry was a plus. The check in/ out was a breeze. The location was great too, close to everything but away from the traffic. We will definitely go back.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint, I rented one cabin for 6 days and the other for 4. They wouldn’t allow my free night to be added on to the other cabin although we rented both. Other than that, perfect hideaway!!!

Our tiny home "Southern Comfort" was perfect...just what I was looking for! The only complaint that I have is the days went by too fast and I did not want to leave. The location was safe and quiet, the staff at the office were friendly and helpful!

A great place to stay for short visits. This is the second time we have stayed at his location and same tiny home. The only negative thing is the TVs upstairs or in the bedroom never connected to internet for us to watch and I think there may have been an issue with the air conditioners. It was comfortable ( because it wasn’t hot outside ) but I don’t think they were cooling like they should’ve been.

We always love staying in your tiny homes! The Happy Shack did not disappoint. Everything was clean and the decorations were great. The heaters kept us toasty warm even with low temps and snow in the mountains.

This is our fourth time staying at this location. We love it. It’s always quiet and clean but close to everything.

The Happy Shack was everything you could ask for. My grandchildren lived it!! It had everything thing we needed, just the right size. We dance, played games, cooked together and had a lot of laughter.

The tiny home was exactly what we needed. More than enough space for my family of 4. Interactions with the staff was always professional, friendly. If you stay more than a few days, just be prepared to wash your towels in the washer/dryer in the tiny home. Breakfast vouchers for Reagan’s came in handy, we upgraded our voucher to include the buffet at the restaurant. We would definitely stay again.

Almost needed to cancel our reservation due to unforeseen circumstances and that was NOT an option, but we were able to rearrange our stay time and that was nice. I don’t think they have a pool or any amenities there. No bath house for the campers. That didn’t affect us. Would stay again

This was our second year, staying in a tiny home with Cove Mountain. We stayed in the happy shack. There is so much decor all over the place. You’re not supposed to move the decor, but you can’t even eat at the table because there was a birdhouse in a big radio on it. There are two separate areas on the wall with four hooks on each one, but they have decor on every single hook. You cannot even hang your personal items on it. My husband kept hitting his head on this wall shelf while getting out of bed the amount of decor is overwhelming. We had a problem with a wasp infestation the first day we arrived. We picked up 17 dead ones and killed multiple others . The office sent an exterminator who came and sprayed, but the wasps must have been in the ceiling because every time we came back for the end of the day we had to kill wasps this went on for eight days out of the nine that we were there. The owner was willing to work with us. If we found someplace else to stay, he would refund us, but we didn’t have a lot of extra funds so we decided to stay. The owner said he was completely full and have nowhere to move us. I was disappointed that the owner never called back to inquire how things were going or if the wasps were still a problem. After the first few nights, many people at the other tiny homes had left the area, and they certainly could’ve moved us. The futon is not very comfortable, and the retro stools are too small and hurt your legs. The outside metal chairs we could only sit on in the evening as they were too hot with the sun beating on them. The fans were full of dust just like they were last year even though I called to ask about it ahead of time. The cleaning service is not that great so my suggestion is to bring your own cleaning supplies. Overall, we love this area and love the pool and the pancake breakfast offered. We came to the Happy Shack of Tiny Homes for a week long stay for my daughter's competitive dance team National competition. IT WAS PERFECT! The Happy Shack was close to the LeConte Center, The Island, Goats on the Roof, Food Truck Park, and the Friendly Waterfall, and many more opportunities for a family with all teenagers. Definitely will be back ... highly recommend!

Overall, our stay at the Happy Shack was great, but there are a few important things to know before booking.
>Description: the location was great ajd as described, close to a lot of great things to see and do, but not in the middle of the most crowded areas.The free use of the pool about 5 minutes down the road was a great bonus. *WiFi was a big problem. The listing states there is free wifi, however we couldn't even get it to connect about 80% of the time, and when it did connect, the service was horrible. I understand that it's the mountains, but if WiFi is advertised, it should work. If it doesn't work, don't put it in the property description.
>Cleanliness: Overall, the Happy Shack was very clean and seemed to be well maintained. I did have to use the broom to clear dust and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling fans. We also had to buy soap for the kitchen area and bathroom spray that we left for visitors coming after us.
>Manager: the door open code worked easily and online check out was great. My only complaint is that I did fill out an online form about the WiFi issue and I did not ever receive a response.
>My Recommendation: I would definitely recommend The Happy Shack to others, but I'd want to make sure to tell then about the few concerns I had. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Great Smoky Mountains and hope to return!

We absolutely loved the Happy Shack. Everything we needed was stocked (just need to purchase TP, Paper towels and trash bags). The decorations were so cute and it was very clean. The mountain views were beautiful and it was so peaceful. I love Wears Valley so it was a perfect location.

A friend and I went to stay for a wedding. Cute little place, comfortable for us 2, only enough hot water for one shower. Only one mirror also. A cheap little full length mirror would be nice!

Cute, eclectic, cozy tiny home. I was instantly in love. Everything is finished so nicely. Such a quote place to relax, I barely noticed my neighbors! I would love to return someday.

One thing that I thought was super weird is that they only give you one roll of TP when you stay for 5 nights! I asked for more but was told I had to go to the dollar store to purchase my own after my “starter pack.” Oh and the wifi is basically non existent unless you are right in front of the main office.

This was our second trip this summer to Give Mountain resorts . Love the tiny homes and my kids do too . The Happy Shack is a great house if you like the sixties as it's decorated with many hippie artifacts . Loved the lava lamps in the bedroom , never turn off . Very nice property and great view of the mountains . I recommend tattoo take a trip down the road to the food truck court . Meecks makes the best burger I ever had . . We will be back soon as we will be moving to Tennessee . Thanks for a great stay . The Herrick family .

The tiny home was great. It was comfortable and clean. It had almost everything we needed to cook and whatever it didn’t have there’s dollar general 1 minute down the road. Very convenient. The RV park overall was quiet. The creek running around the outside was really nice.

We enjoyed 7days in The Happy Shack with our 3 kids. We had plenty of space, the beds were so comfy and the house was pristine! We enjoyed listening to the frogs in the pond nearby and eating our meals on the porch taking in the sights. We cant wait to visit again!
