The cabin was secluded and beautiful. It had a great view and the hot tub was wonderful. Very clean. It’s about 30 mins from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Very close to Wears Valley-which is BEAUTIFUL! Only con is no WI-FI and you need to back up the driveway.

We had a lovely time at this cabin in the mountains. It is a bit of a hike, but we were happy to be near Great Smokey Mountain National Park while avoiding the traffic and commercialism of Gatlinburg. The double bed upstairs and then double bunks in the basement worked great for our large family. There is even a Mountain View from bed! The kids loved the arcade machine and all the DVDS. We had a great time in the hot tub but one of the buttons wasn’t functioning and the jets wouldn’t turn off. It was really nice to have a bathroom on every level and a kitchen. We would have appreciated blinds or curtains on the smaller windows to block out light for getting little ones to bed and helping them sleep later.

The Aleska is a beautiful cabin and we loved the view. The hot tub was amazing,
but would be more comfortable in it if the porch was screened in i was afraida bear would come visit. There was a few things that need to be taken care of....
1-the kitchen sink leaked and the kids luggage got soaked on the bottom floor from the leaking sink. We didn't notice until a couple of days before we left.
2-we couldn't use the jacuzzi because every time we turned it on black stuff came out of the jets, no matter how long it run thethe jets the next time we turned it on it done the same thing, it was gross.
3- please fix a turn around! It is very dangerous backing into the main road.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Super relaxing & peaceful. We did encounter three bears. The view was nice. Loved the hot tub.

The Alexa cabin was perfect- so quiet and serene- the carpenter bees were a bit annoying but they don’t sting so no worries there- the view was spectacular- the driveway was a little challenging because it’s hard to turn around but all in all we were very happy!

We have been coming to the mountains for 27 years now and this area has been our favorite so far. If you are fearful of heights this probably isn't the best cabin for you but if you don't mind the climb this cabin is well worth it. The views are Amazing!! The cabin is perfect for a small family. Just a heads up the service is not good and there is no wifi but there is a tv downstairs with Tons of DVD's to watch and Dish network with basic channels. We didn't mind the no wifi because we literally sat on the porch every day or sat by the fire pit when we were not in town doing other activities. Just a great place to unwind! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook with. The driveway was a little tricky but we did 5 point turns to get out LOL!! We had a 4 wheel drive and a car and had no issues getting up and down the mountain. We will definitely be back and stay in this same area! Thank you for a Great Stay!!

Good weekend with my wife. Good back porch view. Driveway was a little tight but we could turn around without having to back all the way out. Need to add ESPN to the cable for football season.

We return to the mountains every October to celebrate our anniversary. This year the fall colors were spectacular. We enjoy the Wears Valley fall festival every year. The crafts were great, the food trucks offered many choices and the live music was awesome. Our days in the Smokeys are spent hiking, having dinner in or out and then relaxing on the porch and enjoying the view. This was our first time staying in the Aleska cabin. The driveway was a challenge because we have a large truck and were unable to turn around in the driveway requiring us to back in which was tricky due to the curvy road conditions. The cabin was beautiful, the view was outstanding. We would recommend this cabin to younger people. The stairs either did not have a handrail or the handrail was placed in a very low position. The lower level sofa was very comfortable but the main level sofa needs to be replaced.

This is a smaller cabin, which is great if you only have 2-4 guests. It’s not too big where it seems like everyone is disconnected. The view was sooo perfect, from every level! The fireplace was great and so easy. We loved the downstairs with the big tub, foosball table, tv with a ton of movies, and hot tub. Everything was really great, we had almost everything we needed. The only two things I would mention is 1. No cell service (AT&T or WiFi). Usually I wouldn’t care, but we wanted to research places to hike or things to do in the town and we couldn’t. If there isn’t any WiFi, maybe the owners could leave a map of the surrounding cities and/or brochures of things to see? We had to go to town to map out our day. 2. The driveway is really narrow, with no room to turn around. That means you have to back down the driveway to leave, which wouldn’t be a big deal if you could reverse straight onto the road, but you have to turn backwards once you get to the end of the driveway. There’s trees right there, which in a large vehicle is easy to hit! I think they need to change this a little bit- it’s not ideal.

Aleska was perfect for my family. Our three boys enjoyed the downstairs area whenever we were there. Everything was very clean and you couldn't beat the view in the mornings... wish we could have seen it in the fall! We will definitely be back!!!!!

My family enjoyed the cabin, no real complaints. If you have a large vehicle it is easier to back down the driveway.

No visible close neighbors, gorgeous views, and perfect relaxation spot! My only concern was having a 4 yr old daughter going up and down the steep steps. Other than that... I have ZERO cons to this place!!

We had a wonderful and relaxing get-away, enjoying our stay at Aleksa. Spectacular views, cozy, clean and stocked with all we needed. A few more hooks in the bathrooms, etc would be helpful to make up for no closets. And be aware that there is no wifi and I had no cellular service. Normally that would be a plus for us, but it was election weekend! We would return to this cabin.

Cabin is nice. We had a great time. Loved looking at the mountains from the deck. Fire pit was nice. The area behind the firepit needs to be cleaned up. Jasmine in the office is great and very helpful. We always rent from Cove Mountain and we think they have the best prices.

We enjoyed our stay at Akeska. You will certainly be able to "disconnect " from hectic life at this cabin. Just what my family needed. View from the back porch was spectacular.

The cabin has a very steep driveway so use caution. The upstairs bed is small and it is a bit warm up there. The views are amazing. The house was clean and cozy. Overall it was a good stay.

Overall, wthe cabin had a lot of issues. When we arrived, there was garbage all over the side of the cabin (outside), and we noticed that the downstairs door doesnt lock at all (also stated in a review from December 2018). The whole cabin needs a complete and thorough cleaning. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet, and the shower, and entire upstairs bathroom were disgusting (covered in dirt, mold/mildew). When making the top bunk for my son to sleep on following our arrival, we noticed that the blanket and sheets were wet, due to the ceiling leaking from somewhere onto the bed, leaving the entire top bunk useless. Additionally, water leaks into the main floor bathroom when the upstairs shower is being used. If we didnt spend so much money on this cabin, and realized all of these issues before unpacking our family of 5, after a 10 hour drive, we would have moved somewhere else. If appropriate repairs are made, and the cabin is cleaned appropriately (as should be expected) its a nice, private, location.

This cabin is secluded on the side of a mountain; beautiful views. Neighboring cabins are not visible and we felt alone - just like we wanted. There is no cell coverage or wifi/internet - just like we wanted.

The cabin was clean and there was plenty of room for a family of five. Be careful backing out of the driveway. Other driveways were pull-thru types; not this one. There was so very little traffic that the only concern was not being able to have complete visibility backing into the street. After a couple of times this was a non-issue.

We will return.

We enjoyed this cabin that was secluded with a mountain view. We enjoyed the hot tub, jetted tub, the kitchen, the amazing views and the decorations. Property management was very nice.

The overall stay was wonderful, but be prepared for the parking. It is difficult to turn around in the space. The map they provided took us right to the cabin. The only complaint we had was that it was pretty dusty on the mantle, etc. We noticed because of allergies. There is no signal for your cell phone, so if you're looking for some real quiet time, this is the perfect place with a mountain view. It would be even better if the large window at the top of the cabin could be cleaned a little better (it's way up high) so the view each morning upon waking is even better. Be prepared for the top loft to be hot while you freeze the people staying downstairs.

In a word, accommodating. Aleska's three levels of living provided the perfect camp for a family of five trampers. Kids enjoyed the lower rec level, we all enjoyed the well-planned kitchen and fireplace, and my wife and I loved the sleeping loft. The deck views were inspiring, and the hot tub refreshing after our hikes many hikes including Ramsey Cascades and Rich Mountain, among others. Again, perfectly accommodating to our needs. Aleska's condition met our expectation with cleanliness, appointments, household items, and the washer/dryer. Love our visit, and highly recommend it to others seeking the functional attributes of the floor plan.

The cabin was beautiful - very well kept and very clean. There were only 3 issues. The first was the driveway. There was no easy way to turn around so you were facing outward. Backing out of the driveway was impossible and extremely dangerous. By the time we left, we were very adept at turning around in the limited space. The second was the lack of any signal for cell phones foir calling and texts. If you were just planning a getaway mot a problem but we were unable to communicate with the team except for the landline. Rain delays made this difficult. The last was the broken lock on the lower sliding door. Outside entry had been blocked by a wooden piece so safety was not a big concern. Overall it was an enjoyable experience

Some things I was looking for in a rental--something private with a view and was affordable and Aleska met all these criteria! The view is awesome--loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying it. Although this cabin is located in a subdivision with lots of other cabins and you can sometimes hear people from nearby cabins, you don't see any of the cabins which is nice. The inside of the house itself is a little worn out, I guess you would say. Older furniture, mattresses, and appliances, but I know you get what you pay for and I thought Aleska was pretty affordable compared to the many other cabins I researched. We had a couple issues while we were there--dripping showerhead and issues with the hot tub. After calling Cover Mountain to tell them of our concerns, both times someone was at our door within the hour to fix the problem--was very impressed and thankful for their effort to make our vacation enjoyable. Cabin was clean, with the exception of stained sheets on a couple beds. When I notified Cove Mountain about this upon check out they expressed regret that I did not mention this earlier as they would have had the sheets changed for me. Once again, I was grateful for their concern and hope that they get rid of those stained sheets! There are a ton of books, movies, board games and CDs at the cabin that we didn't get a chance to enjoy but I thought was a nice addition to the cabin. The hot tub was nice and relaxing (wish there was more light on the downstairs porch). Our kids loved the bunk beds downstairs and the foosball table. It was nice that they had their own space rather than having to share a room with them, which is what we usually end up doing on vacations. There are NO curtains/blinds/shades on any of the windows. Because it's such a privately located cabin, it wasn't a huge deal, but it still made me a little uneasy at night and made it difficult to sleep much past 6 or 7 AM. I would recommend this cabin and would come back again.

We stayed at Aleksa for five nights with our family of six - children ages 2, 4, 6 & 9. The cabin was lovely and the children (and my husband and I) loved the location, private secluded feel, hot tub, kitchen, entertainment area and the outdoor spaces.
Pluses:
Felt like no one else was around even though we were very close to Hwy 321.
Cozy and comfortable - not as large as I thought it would be from the pictures, yet still big enough for our large family.
Kitchen had what we needed to cook three dinners.
Bathroom on each level.
Breathtaking views.
Pool access.
Fabulous front area with firepit and charcoal grill.
Washer and dryer.
Dishwasher.

Minuses (very few but perhaps easy to improve?)
Beds downstairs not very comfortable.
Extra linen situation needs improvement. I would like to see neatly folded blankets and an extra sheet set that I knew had been washed and cleaned for futon.
Stocked more toilet paper.
Chiminea has hole in the bottom.

However, I would still highly recommend this property. We would definitely return again - in fact, Wears Valley was the perfect location. Close Townsend where we river tubed at SMOC. Close to Cade's Cove. 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge. Close to Metcalf Bottoms (great picnic area). Not too far from Gatlinburg and Sugarlands. Close to Dollywood. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Aleska! We liked that the cabin was off the beaten path a little bit. It gave us the opportunity to get away from the traffic that was in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but both locations were just a quick drive away. The cabin was near other cabins but secluded around trees with a wonderful view which was exactly what we were looking for. We liked that this cabin had both a hot tub and jacuzzi tub. We will be coming back in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Aleska and found the cabin location to be ideal, very private with beautiful surroundings and fall colors. Wears Valley is a nice quiet place to stay and we love the lesser-used and very convenient entrance to the National Park. The hot tub worked well and most of the furniture was comfortable, but all in all the cabin was not as clean as we expected and have become used to with a Cove Mountain property. I do recommend this cabin because of the lovely and private lot.

This weekend was amazing! The cabin was such a wonderful getaway. It was a perfect romantic cabin and we loved every second of it. We will be back soon for another visit

This was our 3rd Visit to the Aleska Cabin over the last13 years, the cabin was clean Aa expected - couched & kitchen cookware needs updating its very worn is the same - as our 1st visit - disappointing that there is no TV upstairs and that Fireplace did not work - we reported but maintain with left a note that a fireplace company needed to fix. We enjoy the cabin views and privacy.

The cabin itself is nice. It was clean, great mountain view and it's totally private. There are other cabins not far away, but it's off the road and total privacy all around. Cabin does not have wifi.
